1996-2000: HYPERACTIVE LIMITED (NEW ZEALAND)

CHIEF EXECUTIVE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Reporting to a board, I was responsible for developing, growing and overseeing the business of Hyperactive Ltd, a ‘New Media’ agency
•    The Managing Director of Hyperactive reported directly to me, as I was also General Manager of Comm Arts, a large Print Broking organisation with offices in Auckland and Wellington (Comm Arts was the majority shareholder of Hyperactive)
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
•    Grew the business from a loss making small business of 3 employees to an operation of 25 people working from offices in Wellington and Auckland
•    During the ‘dotcom 1.0’ era, Hyperactive became one of the leading interactive agencies in New Zealand, and although there were many pressures on growth, and we were heavily reinvesting in the business, we continued to make operating profits until the business was sold in 2000
•    We were awarded several times in the New Zealand Netguide Awards and TUANZ Awards
